SELL YOUR STUFF FOR

ROTARY!

Here's a NEW way of raising funds for our Charity Account, which supports so many good local charitable causes

We now have a Charity Account with ebay, the online auction and selling site.

Donated items from members can be sold without any fees, and the funds go directly into our Charity Fund.

This will supplement our fundraising efforts at St Crux days, and is designed for items that are not suitable for selling at St Crux.

UPDATED March 2020

KEEPING IN TOUCH  !

During our enforced "shutdown" during the Covid-19 emergency, there are a number of ways members can keep in touch with what York Rotary is doing and planning, and chat with other members....

-  Our Friday meetings are now held by a

video conference link via Zoom - Mike Hay will give technical advice and provide you with the password !

The ZOOM Link for Friday Club Meetings is: https://zoom.us/j/2993052538

---------------------------------

- We have a new "Chat Line" which is a private web page where members can communicate (by text) with each other, share stories, request or offer help, or ask questions...  https://yorkrotary.blogspot.com/

(check with Brian about signing up - for security reasons,  initial access to the blog is by invitation only)

---------------------------------

- Our 18 Buddy Group leaders are ensuring close communication with their groups to  make sure any problems are flagged and any support needed is made available. Buddy Group list is here

WE WISH ALL MEMBERS WELL AS WE GO THROUGH THE COMING PERIOD.

DONATE YOUR LUNCH

(public donations also welcome)

Although we are physically "shut down" during the Covid-19 emergency, we can still help our local community

and those worse off than ourselves...

Use the "DONATE" button (right) to send your weekly £18 - or more, or less - to our Charity Fund.

All these donations will be consolidated and sent each week (or bi-weekly) by our Treasurer  to the YORK FOODBANK at Clifton Moor.

If you want to participate, you can do so in a number of ways...

1. Just use the Donate button - it will accept debit card, credit card, or Paypal account if you have one.

(nb you DON'T NEED to have Paypal yourself).

There are various options re the amount - if you'd rather pay two weeks (£36) or more, or less, that's fine.

There is an option to set up a monthly payment (perhaps £75 ?) if you prefer - though you do need to have your own Paypal account to do that.

Whilst we are not coming to lunch meetings, here is an opportunity to provide meals for others...

2. Every Friday, Rotary lunch day, think about "paying for lunch" this way.

3. Online is easiest!  But if you prefer, you can send a cheque (payable to RCoY) to Brian Joscelyne at his home address in Heworth, these will then get paid in to our charity account each week and added to the Foodbank donation.

This programme is still running, despite Covid-19.  I will collect any items donated!   Brian J
